My time on Beer Advocate is approaching 5 years. While I mostly spent time on beer ratings and the Great Lakes forum, I branched out to the Beer Talk forum recently and enjoyed my time here.

People have great beers presented in the daily and New Beer Sunday threads, gives me ideas and new beers to seek out in the future. I appreciate everyone who participates and especially those who run BA to make this the welcoming place to discuss one of our favorite passions and interests, great beer!

There will be over brewers from across the country sampling over pours in various beer and mead categories. I volunteer for this event, and it is a pleasure to host these great brewers, sample beers from across the country, and meet great beer enthusiasts.

I encourage you to consider attending if get the chance, you will not be disappointed. On to the beer. Phase Three’s Invisible Wings is my selection today.

This was my least favorite offering of the dozen or so I have tried from this brewer this year. The pour is murky and creamy light orange pour light white head left soapy lacing.

The sweet citrus aroma did not match the overly bitter taste. A mild alcohol burn lingered throughout the pour. Slightly dry, the body was medium and creamy, containing solid carbonation throughout the pour.

A somewhat bitter aftertaste lingered. I hope you all enjoy your new beers today, and I look forward to seeing and reading about many great beers while listening to excellent music selections along the way.

I’ve seen Revolution beers when I cross over the St. Croix into Wisconsin, and I know I’ve had a few, but never this one. I’m digging the flavor, and will talk about it more in my review.

This is an annual treat for drinking at Halloween time. The choices of Pumpkin Beers this year has been quite limited and as of a couple of weeks ago not too many brands at my local beer retailers.

For folks who are not fans of Pumpkin Beers this may be viewed as being a good thing. What you want for this blend is a Pumpkin Beer with prominent spice levels since this aspect will get diluted via the blending process.

The aroma of nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon and clove jump out of the glass creating an experience much like eating a slice of pumpkin pie on a brisk autumn afternoon.

ABV: 5. I prefer to perform a vigorous pour to encourage mixing. I am very happy to report that it worked very well.
